"Thanks for all of your hard work in creating our award-winning web site! Our site is hands-down the best in our industry and has helped solidify our position as the quality leader in playsets."
Barrett Brown,
President,
CedarWorks
By allowing CedarWorks' customers the freedom to design their own swing sets, yet also have the ability to interact with CedarWorks' staff if they choose, this website streamlines the sales process, making it a more pleasant and efficient experience for both sales staff and customers alike.
In addition, I also streamlined their quote request process, bringing swing set orders from the website directly to a central application, from which the orders can be tracked, assigned and recorded with the minimum of effort from CedarWorks staff - allowing them to work more efficiently with customers.
In spring 2008 I launched the updated version of the Flash-based CedarDesigner tool, with the ability to view custom designs in 3D, using Shockwave.

"I guess there is no question that I made the right decision when I hired you... It is without question the nicest real estate site I have bumped into on the net and I have perused a few."
Scott Horty,
President,
Camden Real Estate
Leveraging Camden Real Estate's premier brand recognition, this project involved a complete redesign of the website layout, navigation and content. I also created a completely new backend, and integrated Maine MLS data with Camden Real Estate's own listings.
The listing search page is designed for ease-of-use, incorporating sliders, visual clues of search parameters, and an interactive map.

After photographing several of Peter's projects, and digitizing some of his past project photos, we had quite a large library of images... to the point where it became obvious that the multiple CDs-worth of photos really wasn't an efficient way to deliver and track these images.
To better manage all the images, I built a web-based folio application that allows me to easily upload images on the day they are taken. The client now has access to all the photos in one place, and using the tools provided can download images for print or email, or create a custom webpage with any number of photos, with annotations. This has proven ideal for allowing him to show a range of options to clients (several different fireplace surrounds from previous projects, for example).

One of the benefits of living out in the boonies is that we have a Community Supported farm just up the road. Run by a wonderful, generous man named Tom Griffin, the farm provides us with fresh vegetables, flowers and fruit each year (as I write this, it's strawberry-picking season and I've never tasted better than the ones that we picked at the farm last weekend).
To help Tom keep in touch with all the folks who help support the farm, I put together a website and email system. It was a quick project, as I was able to use Wordpress for the framework, flickr for the photo pages (using the great falbum plugin). In fact pretty much all I did was take some photos, craft a small Flash file to handle the banner images, develop a theme for the site and launch it.. easy!

This was a quick pro-bono project for some friends.
As a newly-formed not-for-profit, CELLonline faced a challenge. Although the founders between them have many years of experience in education, administration and program development, they quickly realised from inquiries that their home-grown website did not adequately reflect their own committment and professionalism.
Taking the great content they had already created, it was a quick task to re-work the navigation so that the site became more easily navigable, and then create a design that would both reflect the environments that the program focusses on, and also work with the existing artwork and brochures that had already been distributed.

A nice simple project to showcase the work of a local architect.
Peter and I have worked together for a couple of years now, and as I have been the photographer for a few of his recent projects, I had a good understanding of his requirements before the project even began. His style is quiet yet distinctive, with a real New England flair.
This site is an ongoing project, with some additional features due to be launched soon.

This project was a project done to a deadline; Sincerity was already heading for the Caribbean (en route to Maine, from Norway - quite a voyage) and needed a website to give prospective private charter clients an idea of just how beautiful, and unique, this craft really is.
The site is basically a framework for Alison Langley's wonderful photography; ideally we'll be putting more work into this website next year...

My favorite client; a site to celebrate the birth of our son in 2004.
Griffin's grandparents are scattered all over the place, so this site serves as the meeting place for us all to keep track of his growth and milestones.
It's also a bit of a sandbox for me to play in; a chance to play around with 'the fun stuff' of audio, video and ActionScript, knowing that I've got a ready-made (and very appreciative) audience of grandparents! :o)
In that regard, it's also very much a work-in-progress; some rough edges exist...

With a reputation for fine work and attention to detail, Maine Coast Construction needed a showcase for the wide range of ambitious projects they have completed recently, to both complement their marketing campaign and give prospective clients an accurate impression of their capabilities.
I was asked to develop a website that would communicate to clients the quality and range of MCC's work. I photographed many of their recent projects - ranging from ice skating rinks to million-dollar residences - then designed a framework to display these images.

Entertainment Resources, Inc. is a full-service special event production company, capable of handling every aspect of any special event for corporate, wedding, fund-raising, private, and festival clients.
Their website is a crucial tool for their business; after a consultation with the staff at ER, clients can download playlists, mp3 and photos of bands specifically suited to their event.
This project involved a complete visual redesign, to unify disparate parts of the website created over several years by different developers.

Based in Rockland, Maine, Gusco is the IT Department for many small to medium-sized businesses who need qualified computer network support, but don't need a full time technician in-house.
This site promotes their services locally, as well as being the entry to their help-desk software and job-tracking system.
I've worked with these guys for years now, and highly recommend their services. They look after several of my clients, and it's great to bounce ideas around with them when I'm doing any hardware purchasing or system design.

The William Atwood Lobster Company is the largest distributor of Lobster in Maine. In 2000, Atwoods expanded their business by developing an e-commerce division of their services, offering their lobsters on a retail basis for the first time.
This full ecommerce site allows for credit card purchases, online tracking via UPS and access to past orders and invoices securely online. The site is simple, efficient and easy to maintain; this new arm of their distribution system required very little additional staff training.
I worked closely with the Atwood company during the project development: designing and builting the website, enabling the ecommerce capability and developing the online tracking.

A custom-built Gallery Management system for Harbor Square, to replace an off-the-shelf application that failed to live up to their expectations.
Handling all aspects of inventory, contact tracking, billing and reporting, the system was constructed in close cooperation with the gallery staff to ensure it met their requirements perfectly.

Harbor Square is one of New England's most beautiful art galleries. Based in Rockland, Maine, they represent artists from around the world.
I worked with Harbor Square Gallery to create a web presence that will further enhance their class and reputation, and expose their talented artists to a wider audience. The site design involves Flash animation, spherical panoramic photography and an updateable musings page, enabling gallery staff to post articles and poetry on their site.

CTMT are the dominant commercial real estate services firm in the Central United States.
Using source material of all kinds sent to us by CTMT - high and low resolution images, sound files, Word, PageMaker, Acrobat and Illustrator files and even IPIX photos - we create a single Flash animation file that can be emailed to CTMT clients throughout the world. All communication between Zydecode and CTMT is carried out electronically - from initial project commission, to sending of all necessary materials, proofing and final delivery.
Other significant benefits - the overall cost of these projects is less than traditional paper-based promotions, production time is shorter, changes are cheaper and easier to make, and there are no postage expenses for the final e-brochure.
